Bucher's Crossing

This is more like an opinion rather than an analysis of the book, but I just finished reading it and I needed to talk about this book. It took me a long time to read this book because I'm not a native English speaker, so it was difficult to read. So, when I finally finished the book, it felt so great and awesome.

I love this book. it talks about nature, madurity and stoicism. It talks about how you should not make regrets of what could have you done with your life, rather how are you gonna overcome the ostacles foward and letting others continue thier path.

Speaking of how this book is written. It is what you can expect of a book of the time, filled with detailed descriptions, metaphors, the constant thoughts of the protagonist and a rich English. The book is very violent, giving descriptions of the dead animals and the process of skinning, a classic characteristic for a wester.

In my experience, this book also talk about getting rid of oneself narcissism that is invisible to us and can get rid of it through hardship and time. I myself notice this, before reading the book I thought I had a good level of English, but I had read slow and read paragraphs again to understand. I forced me to actually improve my can notice the difference when I finished the book.
